Our Mission
At Happy Hive - Paediatric Occupational Therapy, we believe in the power of collaboration when helping your child thrive - just like a happy hive, where every bee has a role in creating a supportive, nurturing and strong environment. At Happy Hive we work closely with families, educators and other healthcare professionals to build strong, collaborative relationships that place your child at the centre. Through play-based, individualised care and a holistic approach to therapy, we support children in developing the skills they need for independence, confidence and joyful participation in everyday life. Together, our shared efforts create a vibrant, buzzing network of care where children can grow, explore and shine.
Meet Yianna, Our Occupational Therapist
Hi, I’m Yianna! The owner and director of Happy Hive – Paediatric Occupational Therapy. As a passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist, I'm dedicated to helping children build the skills they need to thrive in everyday life.
Before establishing Happy Hive, I gained extensive experience working in a paediatric practice in Sydney, providing clinic, school and home therapy services. This is where I developed a deep love and passion for working with children.
I recognise that children engage in various environments and understand the importance of collaborating with families, educators and other health professionals to achieve a holistic approach to therapy.
My belief is that therapy should not only enhance confidence, learning, and skill development, but also be a positive, fun and enjoyable experience for your child and family.
Who Are We
The name Happy Hive was chosen to reflect the heart of our Paediatric Occupational Therapy approach; a warm, nurturing space where children can grow, learn and thrive. Just like a hive, our practice is built on collaboration, structure and connection. We work closely with families, educators and other professionals to create a supportive community around each child.
The word "happy" captures the joyful, playful and child-centred nature of our work, while "hive" symbolises purposeful activity, safety and the power of working together. It’s a name that speaks to our mission: helping every child find their place, feel supported and flourish in their own unique way.

Our Values
Collaboration
Like bees in a hive, we work together—with families, educators and therapists—to support each child.
Consistency
Just as hives rely on structure, we help children build skills through everyday routines.
Nurturing Growth
Every bee grows in its own time—we support each child’s unique journey.
Belonging
A hive is a safe, connected space. We create environments where children feel secure and valued.
Purposeful Play & Learning
Bees are busy with purpose. We use meaningful, engaging activities to build independence and confidence.
Flexibility
When the hive faces change, bees adapt. We tailor our approach to meet each child’s needs in any setting.
